Experienced Settlement Deeds guidance

Most disputes, including defect matters and litigation that has started, can be resolved by a settlement deed. The deed sets out who will do what, in what time period, and the position regarding legal fees. Unfortunately, there are times when one party’s unreasonable conduct makes settlement deeds difficult, but this should always be the first option. A fair settlement deed, even with both parties making concessions, is almost always a better result than long drawn out (and expensive) litigation.
